For the second year in a row, Teammates Paula Whitley and Joanna Langdon participated in A Ride to Remember, a 3-day bike ride across the state of South Carolina that raises money for Alzheimer’s Disease.  Teammate Jackie Batson also participated in the ride this year.  The ride attracted about 70 riders who, together, raised almost $50,000 for this important cause.  After 3 long days of riding, participants celebrated the completion of the trip and enjoyed dinner on Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant.  Thanks so much to Oak Leak Retirement Center for sponsoring our team on this fun, well-supported ride across the state!

Teammate Kendra Garrett spent much time and energy organizing this awesome event for women that took place on Sunday, July 17, at the Life Center in Greenville.  Great way to support the community and embody our team mission: to serve as women role models and to inspire a healthier Greenville and upstate SC through cycling and active participation in our community.  Thanks, Kendra!

Teammate Courtney McDonald spent the weekend racing in Asheville, NC.  On Saturday July 16, she raced the Liberty Bicycles Road Race and placed 16th in Womens Cat 3/4.  Then on Sunday July 17, she raced the Chain Heart Crit, placing 19th for Women Cat 3/4.  Nice job, Courtney!!  Way to represent the team!

Teammate Kelly Patton raced the POA Crit on Thursday July 21 and received 5th place…..1st place in Cat 4! Go Kelly!

This puts Kelly 4th and Courtney 10th in the Omnium results.  Keep it up, ladies!

On June 4th, Teammates Jackie Batson, Heather Webber, Diane Jackson, Paula Whitley supported Safe Harbor by participating in the Iva Ride.  Always a fun, fast ride!  Thanks for helping to raise money for this important charity in our area.

Teammates Courtney McDonald, Heather Webber, and Kelly Patton raced the time trial on June 2, with Courtney finishing 3rd, Heather 4th, and Kelly 7th.  Nice job!!

On July 7, GHS Every Woman was out in full force for the TEAM time trial.  Teammates Kelly Patton, Diane Jackson, Courtney McDonald, Heather Webber, and Kendra Garrett finished 2nd in the womens division.  Great team work, chicas!!!

On June 30, Teammates Courtney McDonald, Kelly Patton, and Heather Webber participated in the St. Francis Summer Race Series Crit at the BMW Performance Center.  Heather was involved in a crash, but still finished the race strong! Courtney placed 6th and Kelly placed 8th….awesome job, ladies!!

Teammate Joanna Langdon runs this incredible event every year.  This year, on June 25, teammate Rene McCurdy raced and placed 3rd in her catgory!  Rene finished the sprint with a time of 1:33:33.  Great job, Rene!!!!
