GHS Every Woman CalendarCONGRATS to Teammate Kendra Garrett for winning Cat 4 in the SC state road race on May 29!! Three years, three wins for GHS Every Woman!! What an incredible accomplishment for Kendra. This was her first road race ever!! Way to go, Kendra!!!
Teammates Diane Jackson, Heather Webber, Courtney McDonald, and Kelly Patton also represented the team in the state road race this year.
Teammates Lisa Barwick, Heather Webber, Nikki Zimmerman, and Robin Blackwell participated in both the Cooper Rive Bridge Run AND the Bridge Ride in Charleston, SC on April 2 and 3.
On April 16, Paula Whitley and Diane Jackson volunteered to lead out this fun event orgainzed every year by teammate Heather Brehm, among others. Teammates Teresa Hrubala, Maribel Diaz, and Jennifer Reece participated in the run. Thank you, ladies, for organizing and supporting such a great event for downtown Greenville!
Teammates Laura Hodge, Diane Jackson, Jennifer Reece showed up to support the Ronald McDonald House on April 2 by participating in the annual event, Riding with Ronald. This is always a great ride, and of course…..raises money for a great cause!

Please join us!! Every Thursday at 9 am and the first Sunday of every month at 1 pm for a ride with women only! This is not only a time to ride, but a time to meet new people, make new friends, and just chit chat! All rides leave from Carolina Triathlon in Downtown Greenville. Teammates Diane Jackson, Heather Webber, and Courtney McDonald spent a grueling day on May 16 climbing Mt. Mitchell! After months of preparation, all three ladies found their training efforts paid off! Dianne finished in 7:37, Heather finished in 7:23, and Courtney broke 7 hours at 6:57. Those last cold, wet miles could not have been easy. Incredible job, ladies!
Jackie Batson and Paula Whitley raced the first dirt crit race in a four-race series on May 12. Jackie placed 2nd and Paula placed 3rd for Cat 2/3 women. Thanks to Jeff Papenfus of Go-Green events for putting on such a great off-road race series right here in our very own town! Thanks also to our awesome team sponsor, Carolina Triathlon, for supporting these off-road events!!
On Saturday, May 14, Teammate Joanna Langdon raced the White Lake Half Ironman, placing 18th in her age group with a time of 6:29:58! You go, girl!
Kendra Garrett raced the Clemson Sprint Triathlon on May 14th, winning 1st place her age group with a time of 1:14:14, dropping 2 MINUTES off of her time from last year! Awesome job, Kendra!!!
Our team was out in full force on May 6 to volunteer as course marshals for the big event sponsored by the Greenville Hospital System, the SWAMP RABBIT 5k! This event attracts people of all ages, all sizes, and all ability levels. Our team thoroughly enjoys participating in this event every year!
