The December 15th Edition of the VeloNews Reader Gallery contains one of our very own.  In her full winter kit, you can see Nikki Zimmerman crossing a stream on the Divide Trail in Steamboat Springs, CO.  Back in September Nikki and her husband, Bo Zimmerman, took a cycling vacation to Colorado.  Their last ride included an epic 27 mile ride on the Divide Trail and Bo captured this shot as Nikki was coming out of the woods and through the water!

Saturday November 21st the ladies of GHS Every Woman participated in Greenville’s Habitat for Humanity – Women Build.

Women Build is Habitat’s volunteer program for women who want to learn construction skills and make a difference by building homes and communities.   Created by Habitat for Humanity International in 1998, Women Build brings together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children worldwide.  To date, Women Build has built over 1,200 homes worldwide for families in need.

The ladies of GHS Every Woman helped landscape the new home of the Shell family and learned a great deal about how to prepare the ground and lay mulch & sod.

Thanks to everyone who participated and special thanks to our teammate Paula for organizing this!

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for our workshop with Jim Cunningham & Greg Spindler on Saturday November 7th.  We had a great group of 20 enthusiastic and willing participants.  We learned about goal setting and properly preparing our bodies for competition!  Feedback was great and people even requested regular classes for some of the stuff we learned!

Thanks especially to Jim and Greg for sharing their knowledge!

The RamSpinners rode the Turtle Trail at Paris Mountain on Sunday Nov. 1.  We had a mix of beginners and experienced trail riders.  We enjoyed beautiful weather and fall foliage.  The kids learned mountain biking skills such as how to ride over rocks and roots, how to ride through turns, how to change gears, and how to use brakes in different conditions.  The trail was a little muddy!
